When you talk about Nigeria’s music, don’t just think beats and bars. Imagine the resistance or the energy, some put in their whole spirit into it. Artists like Omah lay, Rixxin, Kimberly, Tee Dollar, Odumodu showcase the industry’s success. And Burna Boy, Wiz even Davido lets everyone know this industry has no luck or quick routes to it. Everything you see is built on blood sweat and sleepless days. Some with the attitude to work all night no chill.
Nigerian artists are rising and yes we deserve it. Truly if you never try then it feels like life tries to pull you down. Talk of the laws of nature coming to it’s aid. But guess what? Those same laws have taught Nigerian artists to push beyond limits. Some follow the barriers and turn it to shield.
Yes! Nigerian Music Hit Different
The truth? We only have plans to go all in, pour those attitudes on things that truly make sense. Afraid not to fail in our thoughts now and forever. Things that stay with us in dreams, in wakefulness, in every breath. That and a lot more are what the industry is made of. Music entertains and electrifies us in ways up to individual personal life. Some artists put it out boldly on stage. Others do it silently behind the scenes, through raw passion, real vibes. Both deserve our respect and i’ve seen it given to them first hand.
This article is meant to showcase the resilience between all this artists mentioned and others unsaid about. And this two whom i have never seen less passion in their sounds as they produce it. Not disregarding the fact that this guys are kicking off like elon’s space rockets. Truth is with expectation of support and love all day whilst they out there performances on mini and global stages.
Spotlights on Rixxin: The Xinners Movement
Last year, Rixxin didn’t just drop an EP he lit the fuse on something and it’s big. The movement? yes, it’s real. He’s backed by a growing fanbase “Xinners,”. Rixxin isn’t just releasing tracks. He’s not dropping random YTB videos. Trust when you hear the Xinner is laying bricks for a whole community. When we crossed paths for the first time, it wasn’t exactly an interview. His words were few. But his energy? boy i heard it Loud. Every move he’s making screams vision. If you’ve ever tried building something from zero, you know that fire is hard to put out. I felt the same way when AdT was being built from the ground up.

Kimberly: Port Harcourt’s Own, Singing Since the Early Days
Kimberly or Robinson Kimberly, is one of those artists I’ve had no choice but to follow closely. Especially since his performances at Salvation Ministries Youth Center, and some appearances at Christ Embassy headquarters back in 2012. Just a little while before my secondary school graduation. Ever since kim has had the zeal to push beyond what he sees.
Whats up with Kimberly(Kim)?
Dropped his single record “Dorcas” featuring Vankriz. A record he’s had coming from way back. Now on his recently launched EP, track number 3 Dorcas stands out as one of the most listened to. I mean i’ve listened to Kim sing and rap and i just gotta tell my side of history being made. Especially how I be feeling the vibes from this newly released album, “Rise of the King” by Kimberly.

Luckily i got to be there when “Dorcas”, one of his most played singles was slammed during a studio session. The the vibe, the lyrical fire, real and raw. The song flows up.
