As a writer at AdiTech_Ng, most of the days passed was spent researching, drafting, and editing tech and finance related content. But during my quiet hours especially those rare gaps between deadlines I shift focus to something just as rewarding: investing in stocks using the Trove app.
I didn’t start out as an investor. In fact, my journey began with curiosity and a desire to do something meaningful with the bits of cash i saved. Over time, I discovered that the right tools make all the difference and for me, that tool has been Trove.
Why Chose Trove:
Working in tech, I’ve reviewed dozens of fintech apps, Trove stood out for its simplicity, access, and vision. It gave me the chance to invest in companies i write about, like Google, Apple, and Tesla even while living in Nigeria. That felt like a power move. Also brought up some pharmaceutical companies with less name more work also listed on their.
I didn’t need thousands of naira to begin. I think 2500 in Naira or so i began with, Trove’s fractional investing model allowed me kick off with small, manageable amounts. That lowered the risk and gave me time to learn the ropes.

How I Use Trove as an Investor
Here’s what a typical investment routine looks like for me:
1. Quick Checks Between my writing or coding breaks
In between writing sessions for AdiTech_Ng, I take a few minutes to log into the Trove app and review my portfolio. The ui dashboard is enticing to go over, i’m able to track stock performance, read financial news, and spot trends some of the time.
2. Investing in What I Know
Since I write about tech and finance, I naturally lean toward tech stocks . I invest in familiar companies whose products i use or follow closely. Trove lets me invest in U.S. stocks i trust while keeping an eye on the Nigerian market as well.
3. Small, Consistent Contributions
Rather than trying to “time the market,” i prefer a simple habit: investing small amounts regularly. This keeps my portfolio growing steadily while reducing stress about short term changes.
4. Learning Through Experience
Trove provides curated insights and educational content i think on the app, which is helpful actually. It complements the research I do for work and helps me connect theory with practice which makes both my investing and writing better.
Indeed Trove Has Helped Me Grow FLLy
Over the past few months, my portfolio has seen slow growth. Some stocks underperformed, others surprised me. But that’s part of the journey. Trove has made long term investing feel accessible, even for someone who isn’t a full time trader. As a result, I’ve been able to:
• Diversify my income
• Grow some level of financial discipline
• Think more critically about the companies i get involved in
This article is part of my courtesy to creators out there, writer’s, designer’s, or freelancer’s looking to put your idle funds to work, Trove is worth checking out. You don’t need to be a financial expert to begin you just need a smartphone and a little curiosity.
